By default, DropSaaS sends login and onboarding emails (like the Magic Link email) from a generic sender:
noreply@mylocalbusiness.io
While this works technically, it’s not branded — and it doesn’t represent your SaaS company or increase trust with your clients.
To make your platform fully white label, you can connect your own SMTP email so all automated emails sent to clients will come from your brand.
Why SMTP Is Important
SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) allows DropSaaS to send emails on your behalf using your branded business email address.
With SMTP connected:
Your Magic Link login emails come from yourname@yourdomain.com
Your clients will recognize you — not DropSaaS
You increase email deliverability and trust
Your SaaS becomes 100% white label
Without SMTP, your clients will receive emails from @mylocalbusiness.io
, which may confuse them or reduce brand consistency.
How to Connect SMTP in DropSaaS
Go to Settings → SMTP
Fill in your email provider’s SMTP details:
Host (e.g., smtp.gmail.com)
Port (e.g., 465 or 587)
Username (your full email address)
Password (the app password or email password)
Click Connect
Once connected, all emails sent to your clients will come directly from your custom email address.
Important Notes
If you change your email password, your SMTP connection will break. You’ll need to:
Go back to Settings → SMTP
Click Disable SMTP
Re-enter the new email credentials and click Connect again
If you want to change the email address used for sending, repeat the same process:
Disable SMTP
Connect again with the new email’s SMTP credentials

Pro Tip: Use a Branded Subdomain for Email
For maximum deliverability and professionalism, you can even use a subdomain like:
noreply@yourbrandmail.com
support@crm.yourdomain.com
Make sure your domain’s SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records are configured properly to avoid spam issues. Your hosting provider will have a guide for setting those up.
Recap
