Documents & Tax Settings

The Documents section of your DropSaaS dashboard helps you manage and download your monthly invoices, and configure your tax information properly through Stripe.

Understanding and setting up this section ensures your finances remain compliant and organized—especially if you plan to scale your software business and operate across multiple regions.

View and Download Invoices

Every time a customer subscribes to your white-label platform, you generate revenue. From that revenue, two types of fees are automatically deducted:

🧾 Stripe Fee – The payment processing fee charged by Stripe

🧾 DropSaaS Fee – The commission DropSaaS earns for powering your platform

At the end of each calendar month, an official invoice is generated summarizing all these fees.

Here’s how it works:

Go to the Documents section in your DropSaaS dashboard

You’ll see a list of monthly invoices

Each invoice includes:

Your business name and billing details

The total revenue collected

The total amount in fees (Stripe + DropSaaS)

You can download each invoice as a PDF for your own bookkeeping or to send to your accountant

✅ These invoices are especially useful during tax season or for monthly financial reconciliation.

Tax Settings & Stripe Tax Configuration

DropSaaS uses Stripe Tax to automatically calculate, collect, and report applicable taxes based on where your business and your customers are located.

This allows you to operate legally and professionally, even across multiple states or countries.

1. Enter Your Tax Address

This is your official business address, sometimes also called your legal or billing address.

Stripe will use this as the origin address for calculating tax rates.

Make sure this address is:

Accurate and up to date

Matches your business registration (if applicable)

2. Select a Tax Code

The Tax Code defines what kind of product or service you're selling.

Since you're reselling DropSaaS as your own branded software platform, simply choose:

Software as a Service (Business Use)

Stripe uses this code to apply the correct tax rate depending on your customer’s region.

3. Register Tax Regions

If you plan to sell in specific states or countries where tax registration is required, you must configure them here.

To do this:

Search for the state or country (e.g., California, France, Texas, Ontario)

Click Add Registration

Repeat for each location where you plan to collect tax

💡 You don’t need to register in every region — just the ones where you're legally required to collect and remit tax. Stripe handles the rest.
